Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Confession Time

Oh yes, we all have them. Those little things we do but most of the time don't admit to. Not bad things, maybe funny things, embarrassing things or things that would make people say "oh my gosh, you did that". Here's a little list that  happen (sometimes all too often) around here. Add your list! It'll bring a smile to someone's day. Maybe it will make some of us moms feel a little more normal! :)

1. Jeff and I eat chocolate almost every single night after the kids are in bed.
2. Probably 4 out of 7 nights it's ice cream.
3. Ava was my ice cream baby, which means that there wasn't often a day I went without eating ice cream when I was pregnant with her.
4. When I'm pregnant I often poke my babies until they move because I'm overly paranoid.
5. Once I bought Thao and Ava chocolate bunnies after Easter (much cheaper!). Jeff and I ate them before we could give it to them.
6. We bought over 30 Cadbury eggs this season.
7. I still pray for twins even though I've seen the sonogram 3 times and it's pretty clear there's only 1.
8. I learned very quickly in my first trimester with this pregnancy that Taco Bell chicken burritos were the only thing that wouldn't make me nauseous.
9. From my church you can get to Taco Bell and back in between Sunday School and Church. (Timed right you miss all the trains.)
10. I have fond memories of climbing trees, riding 4 wheelers, playing in the woods, waving at the train conductors, riding bikes down steep hills, and hiding out from the "bums" on the railroad tracks, but I freak out at the thought of my children doing many or all of those things.
---Side note: Is it okay for a pregnant woman to ride a 4 wheeler? Should I wait until it's time for me to go into labor?----
11. I strongly dislike camping.
12. I really like being pregnant.
13. I tried to get Jeff's attention in 8th grade by asking him to come over and play paint ball at my house via Juno (dial up email).

Happy (Be -lated) Easter!
