Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Have you ever gotten this?

I'm in the store, my 5 year old and 3 year old are walking along with me, I'm carrying Liam (he hates the carseat if you recall) and pushing the shopping cart. The kids are helping me get the groceries and suddenly someone stops in the middle of the aisle. Not one of my crew, a (well-meaning) stranger. They stop. They stare. They smile. They say something like "Oh wow, you sure have your hands full". It's almost as if they pity me. I just got home from the store and I seriously lost count of how many people said this to me. I'm sure they are just making an observation (and of course, I love it when it's followed by a compliment on how well behaved my children are...sometimes. ) I'm ready for it though. From now on, my reply will not simply be "thank you" or "why, yes I do have my hands full and while you are blocking the aisle I'm losing control of my children". Nope, my answer shall be, "Yes I do and I LOVE IT!"  Thank you, Lord, for my beautiful little blessings and their very unique personalities. :)

Please know that I don't take offense to this, I just want them to not feel bad for me, but to rejoice with me for God giving me happy, busy, healthy children! :)
