My older two kids were easy to potty train. I love the toddler stage, and that includes potty training. I've had several people ask me recently what I did with them. Here's my not-so-secret secret. :)
1. Find something little and inexpensive that your child likes to reward them EACH time they go potty in the potty.
2. Find something a little bigger as a goal to work towards.
3. Make a chart to track the progress!!
4. Don't do pull-ups/diapers. It's confusing. Stick to the real thing. (Night time or naptime were my only exceptions, I wanted them to sleep.)
5. Accidents happen. Reward the good, praise the effort and ignore the accidents.
6. Make the commitment. Stay home for several days in a row (a week, if you can). Focus, focus, focus. Make potty training your priority. "Practice" every 20 - 30 minutes. Push fluids so that they have to go. I let mine run around without underwear for a while, just to get the hang of it.
