Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Groceries Week 6

We only buy beef from the local butcher shop and Jeff is usually the one to do it. I think it smells really yucky in there. So..we only buy it once in a while and we stock up. We bought 10 lbs ground beef and 1 chuck roast for $40. For the next few weeks I will be subtracting $5 from my weekly budget until it's "paid off". This is the first time I've had to buy meat since I started my budget so let's see if this works!

 $42.87

meat
breadcrumbs
5 dozen eggs
1 package hamburger buns
1 bag chicken breasts
2 cake mixes
2 cans of pineapple
3 lb bag of apples
1 container organic spinach
2 sweet potatoes
1 vidalia onion
1 bag of ripe bananas (still good to eat for a couple days, then banana bread!)
2 gallons of milk

Meals this week: hamburgers, baked mozzarella sticks (YUM), fried potatoes, potato soup, cheddar-garlic biscuits, leftovers, waffles, chicken/spinach/black bean wraps, cheese roll-ups, pb&j

Oops...forgot to post meals last week. I can't remember much but I do remember having: quesadillas, lasagna, hamburgers, pb&j...
