Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Little Things About Liam

Oh the little things I've learned about this new tiny person that I love, but shall soon forget. (The little things, not the tiny person). =)

1. His almost white blond hair. He really has a lot of it, you just can't see it until you are looking for it. And it's straight. Straight hair on one of my children? Even at birth, this is something to make a note of.

2. His grunts, growls, and squeaks. Okay, I probably won't forget these things because so far I've remembered them about the others but still. SO CUTE!

3. Liam is a goooooood baby. He truly is. Amazingly. So far. Maybe I should stop now.

4. He is not a paci (or "pa" as it's been called in our house) baby. He doesn't need it. Because he doesn't cry unless he has a need. Plus, his fingers taste pretty good if he has to wait for mommy to feed him.

5. Liam shouldn't have to remind us over and over again, but just in case you missed it. He does not like to be left alone. He prefers to be held, talked to, sung to, snuggled, swaddled, rocked, or in the wrap if he's awake. This can be done by various people. And with 4 of us already living in the house, he actually isn't alone often.

***Side note: He was in the crib last night while Jeff and I were getting the sheets changed on Thao and Ava's beds. After I got the 2 ready for bed, I was helping Jeff and they disappeared. Liam woke up at some point (with or without help?) and I walked in to find Thao and Ava singing "Light of the World" to him. He was singing the chorus as she was singing the first verse. Quite impressive. Even Liam thought so.***

6. Liam doesn't really like to wear clothes. Diapers are fine but getting clothes on is for the birds. Well, really getting a diaper change isn't much fun either but he does prefer that it is on. So do we.

7. He is also the first of my children to wear cloth diapers. He's a good sport.

8. Liam is loved. He is such a sweet little blessing to our family. He's so darn cute. Pictures just don't do him justice. It was almost exactly 1 year ago to the day (7-11-10) that we lost our last baby due to miscarriage. That was a very difficult time but God blessed us so much through that. We know life is precious. We know we are blessed. We know God has give us a wonderful, healthy family of 5.
