Due to the adventure of having another child I've been blogging less. Please note it's not because I don't have enough to blog about or that I'm bored with blogging. You see, once Liam was born, 3 weeks ago, I came to realize exactly how chaotic our house is. Let me explain by starting out with Thao's quote yesterday: "WOW! Liam can sleep through ANYTHING!" We have found this to be an exaggeration. You see, Liam does not sleep through the following:
1. Ava's hair in his face
2.Stopping his swing by handcuffing it to itself, yourself, or a chair.
3. The pitter patter of little feet in big high heels on hardwood floors.
4. Ava's gigantic, lovable, sweet snuggles followed by, "See, he likes me!"
5; Shoving a pacifier into his mouth. He really doesn't get this whole pacifier thing anyway. Why not just go for the real thing?
6. Sudden silence
7. Thao's target practice (not at Liam). Including but not limited to: flying pens (bow and arrow), rubber band guns, guns that shoot fire (empty squirt guns, POOM!), shooting silly bands off your fingers, rings, or sister's shoes and of course the good old point the finger and shoot.
What happens when Liam wakes up and fusses?
More snuggles from the kids. And then... "MOM! The baby's awake..he's hungry and it's my turn to pick out the diaper. He needs you." So thankful for a snuggly baby and 2 kids that have taken some serious responsibility lately. They have been an awesome help with the baby, with each other by playing well, and even with the household chores. (Thao unloaded the dishwasher yesterday without being asked. How cool is that?!)
Yes, 3 kids under 5 is a bit chaotic but mostly just busy, fun and highly entertaining!
