Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Adoption Update and Matching Grant

Adoption update...

WOW! I feel like it's been so long since I've updated adoption progress. Maybe that's because there hasn't been much, or maybe it's because what progression has been made seems dull. :) Oh the joys of paperwork!

Quick timeline review:

January 18- Officially accepted into the Congo program.

March 24-Accepted first referral

April 5- Accepted second referral

LOTS of paperwork..

(update home study, dossier, medicals for kids, more fingerprinting, immigration papers, applying for grants, etc)

June - Officially in the courts in the Congo for both kids
(and we got 3 updates that month-awesome!)

July - Sent our first package to our kids. More paperwork (Embassy papers, I-600)
AND we were given a matching grant through Lifesong! :)

So, that's where we are...praying, fundraising, working, dreaming of our sweet littles in the Congo.

Let me explain the matching grant. Unfortunately, our little girl's medical paperwork is lost somewhere. We are therefore limited on what grants we can apply for because most of them actually want to see a copy of the medical form. (Also, nothing has been translated so the papers we do have concerning the health and orphan status of our children are in French.) We have applied for 2 grants, one being Lifesong. We are so excited to have been given a $2500 matching grant! This means that as people give to us through Lifesong, they will match what is in our account up to $2500! Isn't that awesome!? Right now our account is at $97.20.

Here's where we are with our adoption expenses. Our estimated expenses total $46,000. God has reallly blessed us and we've been able to pay $30,000 so far. That leaves us with $16,000 more to pay. We know God will provide.

Please consider giving a tax-deductible donation to our account through Lifesong. You can give online www.lifesongfororphans.org/give/donate.  Select "Give to an Adoptive Family" Complete the online form and fill in "Nardoni#3747" for Family Name and Account Number.

Or you can make checks payable to "Lifesong for Orphans" In the memo, note "Nardoni#3747" to assure it goes to the correct account. Mail checks to: Lifesong for Orphans, PO Box 40, Gridley, IL 61744

We need to have everything paid off before we travel to bring our kiddos home, which we hope will be early spring. :)

Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement and support.

What's in a name...

it is *still* well with my soul
