Remember around Christmas my family raised money for a little blue eyed baby with Down Syndrome through Reece's Rainbow? He is an orphan, alone, waiting for his family. We prayed for him. We gave money for his adoption. We prayed that if that was where God wanted us to go, He would make it clear. About a week after deciding to pray about adoption in this little one's country, the doors closed and adoption from his country was (and is) no longer even an option. While we are very sad and still pray for this little guy, our hearts were drawn to our children in the Congo. There were the open doors and reassuring peace that we had asked for.
But now, since Canton cannot be adopted, his grant money was donated to another child who can. We are hoping this gives little Edgar more of a chance for his family to find him. Sweet little Edgar is growing! But he's growing up in an orphanage, with no daddy to run to at the end of the day and no mommy to snuggle up to when he doesn't feel well. He needs a mommy and daddy, someone that he belongs to and someone that belongs to him. Please pray for this little guy's family to see him soon!
