Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

Not so Supermom

We have a crazy week this week. Really, crazy weeks are pretty much the norm for us, but this week may just top them all! 2 birthday parties, baby shower, visitation, funeral, small group, guy's night, and a HUGE garage sale, added to our normal routine of cooking, cleaning, puppy, school, kids, friends, etc. Yes, this week is crazy. As I was "stuck" in Walmart yesterday, I texted Jeff this message: "Still in line. Trying to be thankful for  Walmart right now." Sometimes when life gets crazy and busy and overwhelming it's easy to forget to be thankful. It's sometimes difficult for me to bring myself to that point of clarity to say "this isn't THAT bad" or maybe even "I am so thankful I have the ability to do these things".

In my crazy busy week, like every other week, I am forcing myself to take time out of my day for myself. I am a better mom, better wife, better friend if I do. I desperately need my quiet time. My time with Jesus shouldn't be limited to the quiet, but like all relationships, I need to plan into my day focused time with Him.

I hope your week is going a little smoother than mine. :)

Back in March I did a "Supermom" interview for my friend, Ashley. On a week when I am feeling much less than "supermom" and more like "remember to breathe mom" I thought it would be fun to share. Enjoy! You can find the interview here. Check out her blog while you're over there! :)
