Welcome

Hi! I’m Tiffany. I’m prone to using a lot of words to make things sound lovely. Because of that I have written and re-written this about a dozen times just trying to be concise. You just want to know what you are getting into, right?

Here’s what you’ll find in my little space: writings/musings/stories on my life. I have a big(ish) family; five kids and my wonderful husband. Topics include: homeschool, travel, adoption, child loss/grief, marriage and living a Christ-centered life.

We strive to live simply and love well. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I’m so glad you’re here.

As We Wait

I wish I could show you who we are fighting for. I wish I could express to you how deep our gratitude goes. That you all would sacrifice and pray for us. Amazing.

But of course, we serve an amazing God, who calls us to love each other and serve each other and do life together.

And all of you who have supported us through these past 3 years, have challenged me to live and love more like Jesus. So thank you.

I would love to have some good news but we continue to wait.

And we do not give up.

We have hope in Christ alone.

Ya'll, I get WEARY.

And then I remember it's not the why or the what we are fighting for....

It's the WHO...

It's Isa Jenny's sweet little hand and her backward dress. (3 years old is the same everywhere!)

It's the young, determined boy, Crusoe Jeremy, who has overcome so much.

It's for these two children, half a world away, that know us and call us Papa and Mama.

And much like the first time we all held our newborns, Jeff and I sat there in Africa, almost one year ago, and soaked it up. We looked at their fingers and toes. Listened to their voices. Rubbed my cheek on their soft little heads. We fed them and heard them call us their parents and say their colors. They fell asleep on our laps.

I literally sat in awe that these two precious children were mine. How could I be so incredibly blessed? What did I do to deserve this gift?

And then we said goodbye.

And we wait.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
Isaiah 40:29-31
